Cake smash prep

Happy very 1st birthday baby!! such an exciting time and what better way to capture such a monumental milestone then smashing and eating cake! Then of course taking a bath in my sink!

Please contact me at your earliest convince to discuss any theme or color choices you might have. I love everything from minimalist to whimsical while keeping the main focus on your little one.

after we have planned out your theme, outfit and cake i will send you an invoice for deposit and set our appointment day and time.

cake smash sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes and take place in my studio located in moorhead, Mn. we will start with portraits, then the cake smashing, and then finish off with the clean up in the bath.

i encourage a separate, neutral outfit for portraits at the beginning of the session. Please avoid bright colors, busy patterns, and logos as they are distracting from your little one’s natural beauty. you have the option to bring your child’s outfit or choose from one in my client closet. We plan 2 outfits aside from the cake smash.

after a few clean face portraits it will be time to change baby in to his/her smashing outfit. you will be asked to bring a bottle or sippy cup to wash down all that cake!

When they are done smashing it is time for the clean up. While I take care of the cake mess you will be giving little one a bath in the sink. Everything is provided. Johnson and johnson head to toe baby soap is provided. If you perfer a different soap we ask to bring one from home.

Great! the earlier you book, the more time i will have to plan for your custom set up and order any backdrops/props. If you will need your images for their birthday party i suggest booking your session 3-4 weeks prior to the party so you have them back in time and have printing time. I look forward to creating a once in a lifetime memory!
